A considered brief
We begin with the occasion, audience, venue and budget. Instead of adding elements because they look impressive in isolation, we discuss how each one will contribute to the programme and whether it suits the group.
About Copper Meeple
We organise themed gatherings that give people something to share, with a clear plan behind the atmosphere.
Talk about your occasion
Our approach
Copper Meeple is a New Zealand event service based in Wellington. We organise casino-themed and other themed offline occasions for groups of up to 50, with programmes of up to eight hours. Enquiries are welcomed from across the country, with location, availability and delivery arrangements assessed for each event.
The reason to gather can be simple: thank the team, mark an anniversary, welcome clients or celebrate with friends. A theme gives the room character and the group a shared starting point. The planning makes that idea practical.
We believe the programme should work for the people attending. Some guests will happily join an activity from the first moment; others need time to settle or prefer a quieter role. We discuss that mix with the organiser and shape the pacing, hosting and setting accordingly.
A good activity opens the conversation. It might be a hosted table session, a detective story over dinner, a question that gets a quiz team talking or a challenge that asks colleagues to solve something together. The format should give people enough structure to take part while leaving room for the occasion itself.
That means asking practical questions early. Does the venue have the right space? How will guests hear the host? Where can they sit? When should meal service pause? What happens if the weather changes? Those questions are part of the creative work because their answers shape what the event can comfortably be.
The resulting proposal defines the agreed concept, equipment, staffing, styling and coordination. It also separates additional supplier services and the practical conditions, making the next decision easier for the organiser.
We build trust through clear information and an understandable process. The event should have a scope you can review, a programme the people involved can use and a budget that explains its assumptions.
We begin with the occasion, audience, venue and budget. Instead of adding elements because they look impressive in isolation, we discuss how each one will contribute to the programme and whether it suits the group.
The core experience and optional additions are identified separately. You can understand the effect of extra hosting time, a different décor treatment, more equipment or another supplier before accepting the scope.
Setup, guest arrival, activities, presentations and removal belong in the same working plan. We clarify the contacts and responsibilities so the venue and suppliers understand their part in the occasion.

Our themes range from classic casino evenings and corporate awards to team adventures, creative workshops, garden gatherings and cinema under the stars. They offer different ways to bring people together, not a promise that every format has the same price or requirements.
The imagery across the site expresses possible event atmospheres and styling directions. The arrangement for your occasion is defined by the written brief, venue and agreed inclusions. Our event ideas are prospective programmes to help you imagine the possibilities.
We keep the business details easy to find. Copper Meeple’s address is Office 41, Level 4, 104 The Terrace, Wellington, New Zealand. You can contact us at [email protected] or +64 4 002 3946. Please arrange any meeting in advance; the office address is not an event venue.
Start with the occasion you have in mind. We will discuss the practical fit, available direction and what a useful proposal needs to cover.
